Spoke Round Table
The Spoke Table’s hairpin form is a staple that was popularized during the post-war modern furniture movement. The table’s hairpin legs are appreciated as much for the industrial innovation of their creators as for their aesthetic beauty.
Invented by Henry P. Glass in 1941, the hairpin legs are a true war-time innovation born out of necessity, as their design limits the amount of material needed while keeping the strength of traditional legs. Richard G. Reineman filed for a patent on the three-rod hairpin leg in 1954.
Industry West’s interpretation of this movement blends reclaimed willow wood with this mid-century modern shape.
